Bathroom project
A compact bathroom with a confident finish
Terrazzo, striped tiles and brushed brass.
Not a big room, so we gave it one bold idea and carried it all the way through. Rust and cream tiles run in vertical stripes around the bath, and terrazzo covers the floor and the bath panel. A walnut vanity and a brushed brass shower bring it back down to earth.

A bold layout, set out precisely.
Stripes are unforgiving. If the first tile is a few millimetres out, every line after it shows. We set out from the centre of the bath wall so the stripes land evenly at both corners and around the niche.
Storage you don’t notice
A lit niche in the shower wall holds the bottles, so there’s no caddy hanging off the screen. The back-lit mirror and a walnut vanity on slim legs keep the floor visible, which makes a small room feel bigger than it is.
